Chapel Choir

On Friday 27th April, 60 members of Norwich School Chapel Choir travelled to Reepham High School to take part in the Rotary Inter-Schools Choir Competition, competing against 3 other school choirs. Their programme of Gospel Music (Didn’t My Lord deliver Daniel arr. Allain,, 19th Century polyphony (Abenleid by Rheinberger) and 21st Century pop music (Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol) earned them first place in this prestigious event.
The adjudicator, Kenneth Ian H˙tch commented: “Would you pass on my congratulations to the Music Department for their excellent singing at last night’s competition. Their first prize was thoroughly deserved and the standard of their performing a fine example to others. I would also like to point out the excellent way the pupils applauded the other schools, acquitting themselves superbly.”
