Skiing Club

30 April 2012

Last weekend eight Norwich School pupils took part in the ERSA ski championships at Welwyn Garden City.

The squad started the day with high hopes and the team’s spirits remained high and everyone enjoyed a fun-filled day.

To the squad’s delight, they came home with a fantastic six trophies and thirteen medals, firmly establishing Norwich School as a strong force on the school skiing circuit.

Ben Luck won 3rd in the under 14 boys’ category while Adam Clayton achieved the fastest run of the day and finished 1st in the under 16 boys’ competition. We also achieved an incredible 1,2,3 in the under 19 group with Ollie Kennard 1st followed in 2nd by Milo Smith and Andrew Lincoln in 3rd.  The A team of Andrew Lincoln, Ryan Andrews, Ollie Kennard and Alex Lipp finished 1st in the under 19 Boys’ Team Category, and another team of Milo Smith, Adam Clayton, Ben Luck and Zuzia Kubani took 1st in the under 19 Mixed Team Category.

To top this all off, the squad were awarded the trophy for Overall School Champions - a great achievement at their first event representing the school.
