L6 Geography Field Trip
7 March 2012
After arriving at the Youth Hostel on Friday evening, work soon started, explaining the location and geology of the river and its catchment area. After a hearty breakfast on Saturday morning we set off in the minibuses and measured at 12 sites along the river, as well as visiting the beack and the wildlife centre on the Glandford estate. Sunday was spent presenting and analysing our results then concluding and evaluating the study.
Although this was an intense weekend of work we enjoyed some superb weather in the field on Saturday and the weekend has prepared us fully for the fieldwork exam paper.
