Rowing Club news.

12 December 2011

The event saw the strongest ever results for the girls’ squad in any event with wins in the under 18, under 16, under 15 and under 14 competitions.

The boys’ squad performed almost as well with wins in the under 18 and under 16 double sculls. Tom Klinge took part in a joint Norwich Rowing Club and Norwich School coxed four, which was the fastest crew on the day.

There were also strong performances from all the other crews with 2 crews missing wining their events by only a couple of seconds. This all bodes well for the start of the racing season next term.

Winners:

Under 18 mixed fours: Abi Garforth, Vladimir Chapman, Henry Plaster, Milo Smith and Harriet Hudspith

Under 16 girls’ double sculls: Christina Futter and Pippa James

Under 14 girls’ quad sculls: Sacha Burke, Sasha Pinto, Harriet Harvey, Millie Louks and Elizabeth Watts

Under 18 boys’ double sculls: Tom Klinge and Tom Dell

Under 16 boys’ double sculls: Matt Wilde and Fraser Wilcox

Congratulations to all involved, coaches and scullers, for these excellent results.
