Following on from the last athletics report, we have received confirmation that James Steele (L5V) has been selected to be part of the Norfolk team at this year's English Schools' Athletics Championships. James will compete in the junior boys' high jump at the event in Gateshead on the 1st and 2nd July. It is the first time for many years that anyone from Norwich School has been selected to compete at this prestigious event. The English Schools' is the pinnacle of the sport at junior level in this country, and is where such names as Mark Lewis-Francis, Phillips Idowu and Paula Radcliffe first came to prominence. We wish James all the best and look forward to hearing how he gets on.
