ON, Lucas Fear-Segal has been elected to serve in the Easter term 2009.

The L5-2 religious studies class enjoyed a visit from dance teacher Lorraine Theobald.

In a magnificent performance, the 1st XV defeated Warwick School 14-8 to reach the last 16 of this national competition.

The school played King Edward School, King's Lynn in round 2 of the National Schools' Championship.

Writers' Bloc are very pleased to announce the results of their latest writing competition.

Sixth form and top-set Upper 5 mathematicians entered for the Senior Maths Challenge.

The first round of this season's ESU Mace Schools' Debating competition was held at the High School.
26 November 2008 : 1st XV in National Knockout
The First XV played at Wymondham College in the fourth round of the National Knockout Tournament.
25 November 2008 : Visit by the National Blood Transfusion Service
The National Blood Transfusion Service visited Norwich School to talk to the Upper 6 pupils about the importance of giving blood.
24 November 2008 : Concert at St Thomas Church, Earlham
A cross section of performers gave a varied concert to a well filled church.

The school's chess team played in the Birmingham and District Junior Chess League's Open Schools' tournament winning the shield for the 'Best Visitors'.
21 November 2008 : Building Bridges Maths
Organised by Mrs Nicola Hill from Norwich School and Mr Andrew McNally from Notre Dame High School and held at Norwich City Football Club, the maths ‘Building Bridges’ Project aims to inspire and capture the imaginations of Year 9 mathematicians.

The annual Dyers' concert took place in the School Chapel.
20 November 2008 : Lower 4 trip to Hautbois House
Over a four day period all pupils in Lower 4 enjoyed a fun day at Hautbois House at Coltishall.

A team of four L6 mathematicians took part in the Norfolk heat of the Senior Team Maths Challenge held at CNS.

Four teams from Norwich School joined over forty others to compete in the UCL Schools Cup Debating Competition.
12 November 2008 : Tom fulfils his dream
Tom Adeyemi of Brooke House has fulfilled his dream by signing a professional contract with Norwich City Football Club.

Seven pupils represented the school at the regional heats of the Cranmer Awards.

A team of four pupils from L5, M5 and U5 took part in the Science Investigation Day 2008 at Bayer Crop Science in Norwich.
5 November 2008 : Half-Term USA trip
Over half term, fifty members of the Sixth Form, accompanied by five members of Common Room, took a trip to the other side of the pond to visit Washington and New York.
4 November 2008 : Lower School House Music Festival is won by Heigham
Heigham House won a highly competitive Lower School House Music Festival. Their performance of the 'Frog Song' with their own lyrics was given first place by adjudicator David Lowe, Master of the Music at Norwich Cathedral.
4 November 2008 : English Teacher publishes her first short story
English teacher Nik Ravenscroft had a long-cherished ambition realised on 18th October when her short story 'Time, like an ever-rolling stream...' was published in 'Subterfuge',
4 November 2008 : Macmillan Charity Ball at Dunston Hall
Seven pupils from L6 Coke assisted at the Macmillan Charity Ball at Dunston Hall.
25 October 2008 : The Original Mountain Marathon
Described as 'the toughest endurance race in the country'. Mr Tom Leverage and Dr Glen Richardson took part in the OMM (The Original Mountain Marathon).
24 October 2008 : Pink Day and Bad Tie Day
The whole Senior School took part in a magnificent 'Pink Day and Bad Tie Day' in aid of Breast Cancer awareness, the Norwich Night Shelter and a School in India.

17 September 2008 : 29 Years With Linz
The 29th exchange between Martinus Gymnasium, Linz and Norwich School has recently been completed. 24 German pupils and two members of staff visited Norwich from 28th August to 5th September 2008.

Old Norvicensian Emma Pooley stunned the cycling world by gaining second place in the Olympic time trial.

There were lots of smiling faces on A level results day – particularly for the fifty leavers who gained a full house of A grades.
14 August 2008 : 2008 AS Results break all records
The public examination results achieved by the 2007-8 Lower Sixth have set a new standard for Norwich School, with 55% A and 81% A/B grades.
