Supporting charities is an important feature of every term in the Lower School. The School Council will decide the charities we wish to support for the term and discuss with the staff the events we will be holding. There is a cake sale each term run by one of the School Houses and this is often run in conjunction with a non-uniform or dressing up day. Our major charity event of the year is always the Christmas Fair. This is entirely run by pupils, although parents often help run the stalls on the day! In the last year we have raised over £4000 for different causes. An important part of fund raising will involve a visit by the charity to explain to all the pupils how the money we raised is used. Over the last year we have undertaken the following charity events:

Harvest Festival - for the Salvation Army

Jeans for Genes and Cake Sale - for Genetic Research

Shoebox Appeal - for Samaritan’s Purse

Carol Service - for Night Shelter

Christmas Fair - EACH

Sponsored Mt Snowdon Climb - Guide Dogs

Cake Sale - Guide Dogs

Sponsored Stand Up - Guide Dogs

Non-Uniform Day - Tibetan monastic school

Cake Sale - for Break (Changing Young Lives)
