Senior School
The Senior School is in the Cathedral Close. If entering Norwich along the A11, which is the Newmarket and London road, you should follow directly into the city down the Newmarket Road passing Norwich High School for girls on your left. At the next roundabout you cross the inner ring road and continue straight on down St. Stephen’s. This has a series of raised platforms for pedestrians and you will know that you are in the shopping centre. At the end of St. Stephen’s you are forced to bear right, having seen the Castle in front of you. The road takes you in a circle around the Castle and then you will come to a set of traffic lights with Anglia Television on your right. You should bear right and take the second left turn.
Continue down towards the Maid’s Head Hotel where there is a small roundabout. Go all the way round the roundabout and come back on yourself, then take the next left-hand turning (ignoring the first gate to the Cathedral Close, which is not open to traffic), which will take you past La Tasca and Zizzi’s, and turn sharp left through the Ethelbert Gate into the Cathedral Close.
If you have a specific appointment with the Head Master, then explain this to the gateman. If not, you would be better advised to park outside the Close.
The nearest car park is off Bishopgate. To find it, follow the previous instructions but at the Maid’s Head roundabout turn right down Palace Street and then take the first right into Bishopgate. The car park is on the left next to the Law Courts.

Lower School and Lower Close Sports Field
The Bishopgate car park is also the most convenient for visiting the Lower School, which is further along Bishopgate, opposite the Great Hospital, and for attending sporting events on the Lower Close.

Redmayne Field, Beeston Hyrne
The School’s other playing field (the Redmayne Field) is at Beeston Hyrne approximately 5 kilometres north of the City. Take the B1150 towards Spixworth, Horstead, Coltishall and North Walsham. The playing field is on the left some 2 kilometres before the turning to Spixworth.
