Words from the Chairman
The Friends membership predominantly comprises past parents, pupils and staff but we are delighted that increasing numbers of present school members (parents and staff) are also subscribing.
Funds raised from subscription presently support two half bursaries for gifted pupils requiring financial aid and regularly assist needy students with travel bursaries. We have in the past supported a diverse number of school projects ranging from the commissioning of a millennium statue, through fabric improvements to the Chapel, drama studio and Lower School library. We underwrote the provision of an outside all weather playground for the Lower School. Annually the Friends sponsor arts, music and other cultural events at the School to which members are invited to attend.
The Management Committee includes the Head Master, the Bursar and past and present parents and members of staff. The PTA and ONs are also represented. The committee encourages members to attend the AGM, when the Head Master gives his annual report, and also to participate in the two non-profit making events held each year.
The Friends are keen to welcome new members. A modest subscription will enable you to sustain links with this unique school, receive regular publications (such as The Norvicensian) and make a contribution to its continuing success.
