Other Charges

Examination fees

The School charges parents the public examination fees levied by the external examination bodies for those external exams sat by Norwich School pupils. The amount payable is added to the termly fee bill.

All pupils are required to wear the School uniform. A detailed uniform list is available from this website. Purchases of new uniform are from www.schoolblazer.co.uk and purchases of second-hand uniform are available from the School Shop.

Travel to & from School

Parents are responsible for the travel arrangements made to bring pupils in and from School. A daily bus service is available about which more information is available from this website.

Curricular trips and expeditions

Pupils participating in curricular trips and expeditions will be notified separately as to whether any charge for the trip will arise. Details of how to make payments are available on the School's website under Payment of Fees and Charges. Those pupils in receipt of bursarial assistance towards the cost of their tuition fees will benefit from the same reduction over half of the curricular trip or expedition cost.

Other trips and expeditions

Pupils will be offered the opportunity to participate in a range of exciting trips and expeditions led by members of the School. Parents will be notified separately of the cost of these trips and expeditions. Details of how to make payments are available on the School's website under Payment of Fees and Charges.

Unreturned items charge

Where books and other items of School property are not returned, parents will be charged for the loss at its replacement cost. The charge will be added to the termly fee bill or, if the pupil has left the School, will be taken from the Acceptance deposit.

Personal accident insurance

Pupils may purchase accident insurance for a charge in the current academic year of £10.50 per pupil per annum which is payable yearly in the Lent Term fee bill.

The School's Personal Accident insurance scheme is underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance and Zurich Insurance. The personal accident specification includes core and extension benefits, further details of which can be found here.

School fee refund scheme

Insurance against the cost of tuition fees should the pupil be unable to attend Norwich School due to illness, accident or infection is available at a cost per pupil of 1.37% of school fees, payable termly.

The School fee refund scheme underwritten by Marsh Limited provides a mechanism to refund parents and fee payers with the cost of tuition fees when a pupil is absent from the School for at least 5 consecutive days, including weekends and half-term breaks, because your child is ill, has had an accident or has been in contact with an infectious disease. If the School is forced to close due to an outbreak of an infectious disease amongst the pupils or staff, which makes tuition impossible, a refund would be made after the first seven days of closure. For example, if the School is closed for eight days due to an outbreak of an infectious disease at the School, the Scheme would refund one day's fee. Details of the Refund Scheme are available here.

Late payment charges

Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month will ordinarily be charged on fees and charges which are unpaid. Further information on late payment charges is available in the School's Terms & Conditions.
