The Norwich Cathedral Choir Endowment Fund offers boy choristers a financial contribution of 50% of Norwich School tuition fees during the period when a pupil of the School is a member of the Cathedral Choir, whether in the Lower or Senior School.
Selection is by audition, organised between the Master of the Lower School, pupil's parents and the Cathedral's Master of Music, Mr Ashley Grote.
Choristers are characterised by strong musical potential, a clear voice, a quick ear and a lively intelligence as well as a willingness to commit wholeheartedly to the Choir's repertoire and Cathedral involvement.
The Chorister Award is not means-tested. The Award is paid directly to the School and is shown as a reduction on the termly fee bill. The financial assistance will cease at the end of the term in which the chorister's voice breaks.
