Sixth Form Entry
Deadline for completed applications is 15th November in the year preceding entry.
Sixth Form candidates are assessed at an interview and activity assessment session and an academic reference is sought from their current school. Candidates will be able to show case their ability during the process by completing a written task, taking part in a lesson experience, participating in a creative or physical activity and at interview. Where possible candidates are asked to complete and return the co-curricular form below with their application. The assessment sessions take place in the first week of December with candidates being advised of their success or otherwise in gaining a conditional place prior to Christmas.
For entry in 2018, Scholarship assessments take place during November and the beginning of December. The school hosts an ‘Introduction to Sixth Form’ evening in November and parents are invited to attend a presentation in December to meet and ask questions of the Head Master and senior colleagues.
Admission to the school would depend on a minimum of six B grade passes at GCSE; this is a minimum entry requirement and higher grades would be necessary in intended A level subjects.
